About Kevin Bui

Kevin knows how to work hard and play hard. When he graduated college, he strapped on a backpack and traveled to the other side of the world, slinging drinks behind a bar to fund his adventures. When he returned home, he discovered that his true passion was real estate so he decided to trade cocktails for contracts – a decision that he’s never regretted.

Born and raised in Gilroy, California, Kevin studied business at San Diego State University. A study abroad program took him to Australia, and he loved it so much that he returned after graduation.

Barks and Brews

Over a year later – after bartending, working a sales job, and traveling around Southeast Asia – he was finally ready to return home to join the “real world.”

That’s when Kevin buckled down and got his real estate license. He began working as an agent part-time, learning the ropes from his REALTOR® mother while also working in the tech field.

“I figured I should get a job in tech, so I did. But I realized I was just grinding away, waking up at 4:30am to travel into the city. I didn’t actually care about the job.”

So he decided to go all in with real estate. “It’s been an amazing experience, I love what I do now,” he says.

When Kevin isn’t working, you can find him hanging out with his wife Amy and his dogs Allie & Brewski – an appropriate name for a dog that frequently visits breweries with his humans.

Kevin also enjoys traveling to new places. His personal goal is to visit 50 countries before he turns 50.

“I love seeing new places and cultures, and trying new foods. I’ll try anything!” He says his trip to Vietnam was a rich culinary experience, and his most memorable one to date.

Kevin is always planning his next big adventure, although he’s a little more stationary these days.

Communication & Adaptability

“Right now I’m helping my friends and family buy and sell houses, which is great,” he says, adding that every client is a friend by the time the transaction is completed.

The escrow process can be stressful for buyers and sellers, but Kevin is known for his calm demeanor – even when faced with major hurdles that would give most agents anxiety.

“I’m always really relaxed. My job is to show my clients that I’m not stressed out, and to let them know that they don’t need to worry.”

He also says that communication and being genuine are vital attributes when it comes to being a trusted agent.

“It’s important to put your best foot forward for your clients, and enter into the agent-client relationship in good faith. It’s not about getting a commission check, it’s about doing what’s best for them.” Kevin enjoys his day-to-day work as an agent, along with all the triumphs that come with being a REALTOR®. Those victories, he says, are best shared with his colleagues and friends at #TEAMFAST.

“I love being able to surround myself with other agents who have no egos, where everyone is willing to share their knowledge.
